Well here is where you have come to learn more about the illusive Maddy Page owner of the coincidentally named Maddy Page Knitwear. I like many other young people my age have chosen to attend a university. I am currently studying Fashion and Textiles Design at Winchester School of Art, specialising in knitwear. This means I spend most of my time, well, knitting and designing, drawing, sewing and staring intensely at sketchbook pages.
Whilst at university I have been able to achieve a few things including having my work shown in Spin Expo in Shanghai, and at Premiere Vision in Paris earlier this year. And because I can’t get enough of WSA (Winchester School of Art) I have been serving as Student Rep for my course, as well as working for the uni as a Student Ambassador.
I am extremely passionate about knitwear and wearable textiles in general. My work is mostly inspired by women and I like to challenge myself to think about designing for all different types of women. As an active feminist it is important to me to bring those ideas into my own work, and hopefully inspire other designers to do the same thing.
